 About Us
Pumpernickel has existed as a Health Shop for over 25 Years, keeping abreast of
the many changes in the health industry. We pride ourselves on stocking some of
the more obscure health remedies which may not be found at a local level. This
has meant that the shop carries thousands of products and, due to the demand,
is constantly upgrading its product portfolio. Currently we have three members
of staff working full time and one part-time, including an allergy-testing specialist
who visits regularly.
Mr.Waheed Akhtar, BSC Hons in Biological Sciences, came in to the field due
to personal interest. He has invested a large amount of energy into driving
the business forward and keeps himself updated with the latest developments
in the industry by attending nutritional conferences and seminars.
 Sue Mitchell:
experienced in specialist dietary requirements such as gluten/wheat/dairy intolerances
as well as a good understanding of wholistic health.
James: keen, energetic young man, 3rd Dan in Taekwon Do, represented Great
Britain in the 2004 World Championships in South Korea, mainly deals with the
sports nutrition department upstairs. Lots of knowledge and enthusiasm.
Anna: Diploma in nutrition, working part-time in the shop, particular interest
in skin problems, having learnt to successfully contain her eczema.
